Ingredients

 

Old Bread

 

1/2 litre of Milk

  Cinnamon Sunflower Oil
   Sugar   1 or 2 Eggs
Lemon Rind


Equipment

Bowl 

  Spatula Fork
  Spoon    Frying Pan
Saucepan


Instructions

Step 1

Mix 3 dessert spoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl.

Put to one side.


Step 2

Heat the milk

Add the mixture above (sugar and cinnamon) and lemon rind to the milk.

Stir


Step 3

Break the eggs into a bowl.

Beat.


Step 4

Slice the old bread.

Soak the bread in the mixture and then dip in the beaten egg.


Step 5

Heat the oil in a saucepan until it is very hot.

Carefully fry the bread on both sides.


Step 6
When they are brown take the torrijas out of the pan and place on kitchen roll.

Step 7
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon - to taste.

Step 8
Enjoy as a dessert, breakfast or snack.
