Potato Dumplings

Ingredients

 

1 kg Potatoes

 

125g Potato Flour

  1 x Egg   1 tsp of Salt
  Pinch of Nutmeg   2 slices of Bread 
Spoonful of Butter


Equipment

 

Chopping Board 

 

 Big Bowl

  Frying Pan   Pot
Wooden Spoon Knife 
Potato Peeler Potato Press
Teaspoon


Instructions

Step 1

 

Wash and peel the potatoes.

Cut each potato into 4 pieces.  


Step 2

 

Put the potatoes into a pot of water.

Add a teaspoon of salt.

Boil for 20 minutes.  


Step 3

 

 Chop bread into cubes.

 

Put bread into frying pan

Add Butter

Fry bread until they go slightly brown.



Step 4

 

Use a potato press to crush the potatoes into a bowl.  


Step 5

 

Weigh out 125g of potato flour and add to the potato.  


Step 6

 

Add a pinch of nutmeg, egg and a teaspoon of salt to the potato. 


Step 7

 

Knead everything thoroughly to a soft dough.  


Step 8

 

Roll round dumplings out of the dough. 


Step 9

 

Make a who in the dumpling with your finger.

Put 2 or 3 bread cubes in the middle of the dumpling. 


Step 10

 

 

Roll the dumpling again.

Put dumplings on a chopping board.


Step 11

 

Place dumplings into a pot of hot water and simmer for 20 minutes.  


Step 12
