This was the group's first introduction to "Sidra" which is an alcoholic apple cider and is a speciality in Asturias. 

Everyone in the group tried a shot of Sidra and followed the custom of leaving a tiny sip in the bottom of the glass.  This is then poured into a bucket so that it is clean for the next drinker. 

It is an Asturian tradition that one cup is shared by all drinkers.
